Flash Interface system to be standard fit on new Jaguar

Alpine’s first production application of Macromedia Flash provides the infotainment interface for Jaguar’s new XK sports car. Alpine’s first ever application of Macromedia Flash, the graphics system that powers multimedia presentations, will make its production debut on the firm’s touch screen for the Jaguar XK. Audio, navigation, climate control, telephone and vehicle settings can all be adjusted from a single screen, with graphics "reminiscent of a quality website".

well, just as long as there's no microsoft windows for it to crash on ... this should be interesting.

 

that's funny...a friend of mine who's an audi service writer and I were talking over dinner that some of these car companies can engineer cars but dont know how to write software for the cars...i jokingly said that they should have apple do the OS for the cars LOL

 

Jaguar is the last company that needs to come out with software first.

I am scared as I LOVe the new XK
