My feeling of the new GS stays the same ever since its debut. It is above average, but there are several sport sedans I like more, such as BMW 550i, Infiniti M45 Sport, Acura RL, and the new Lexus IS350.

It is starting to grow on me some. I'm weird, I think it's sweet but not enough for me to really want one. I just can't get past the headlight trim and that stupid door trim. That thing just boggles my mind. I just don't see the inspiration for putting it there. For some reason, it is more acceptablr on the Continental GT but even then I am not crazy about it. Lexus had a big opportunity to make this car so much more...to build on the following created by the 2GS. It is sleeker than 2GS but that's the only thing I give it over the previous car. I agree with whomever said we may all change our tune when the aftermarket is fully stocked with 3GS items. We'll see.

Has the new GS grown on me? No.....I think it is still the same size it was when I reviewed it back in March.

I still love the new GS - I liked it from the first moment I saw it.
Its' styling is perfect for "old" guys like me... Lexus' real target market for this car, after all (actually, I am about a decade too young to fit their demographic).

In contrast, the new M45 is already looking overwrought and contrived to me- a bit too "boy racer-ish." I have a friend with a black one (orange-peel galore!); to me, it just isn't as classy as the new GS.

i have to agree, the new gs looks moer "matured" and geared towards higher age people comparing to the m45, it's pretty clear imho

i guess i am an old man too

The new GS grew on me when i first saw it in person. From the pics that i saw before it was not impressive.
I still hate the chrome headlight trim and ugly grill, and also that there is no sport package. But IMO The GS is by far the nicest looking car in its class.
