Black is a "power" color

Silver is easy to keep clean

Well known reasons.

 

Black is also a VERY conservative color....traditionally the color of limos, hearses, and cars for execs / VIP's.

 

Black = clean and aggressive looking

White = Classy with chrome wheels

Silver = very safe and easy to clean

 

What I really don't understand is why everyone wants to be the same.

 

Just because silver is popular doesn't mean people choose it BECAUSE it's popular or to be the same as others. They pick it for reasons already mentioned, easy to keep clean, looks good, fits a 'high tech' world, isn't offensive.

3 of the 4 vehicles I've owned have been silver. I picked it because I like it. I couldn't care less if others do.

 

The last generation 740IL was offwered in Imola red.. That looked very nice.
