New Civic should be here in Sept.or October. How the car looks and how long to wait is not up to us to decide.

Nice choice. The tC is really hard to beat. Great all around value. The only problem that I keep hearing is something about the panorama roof noise and breaking(rare cases). havent heard of anything else.

Id even look at a focus ST or Cobalt before I look into a current civic. That car is currently the weakest link... except maybe non SE-R sentra.

You sure are trying very hard to push a Civic. You should ask Honda for a comission check if you are successful in the sale.

I'm not trying to push the Civic specifically, it just happens naturally. I give credit where it's due. Civic is the king of the sports compacts and is pretty much the best seller in it's class year after year, nothing except the corolla comes close if I remember right. WHile the competition has tried hard to get a piece of it's pie and some have done an allright job at it, Civic is still a force to be reckon with, sales are higher than they've even been. Just cuz it has fallen out of the enthusiasts list doesn't mean it's not the great cars it use to be. To ignore it at this price is like ignoring the accord when looking at 20K sedans.

My point is that because of all the carping from the press and people who just blindfully follow anything the media dishes out, Honda is pizz and wants to shut these people up by making sure the next Civic kicks **** and remains the top of it's class. That's great news for car buyers. We all know what Honda can do if they really want to do it. As is, most of their lineups are pretty much top of it's class. Only Toyota can match it in quality, reliability, and resale. In the newest C/D shootout, an RSX has beaten all the new more powerful kids. New Si sounds like it could easily match RSX for a much lower price. Mazda is already making improvements to the 3 anticipatin new Civic coming out, so Mazda already know they have a tough fight ahead. You've already read what HOndas doing to their next gen Civic engines, so we only expect great things from new Civic. Considering those facts, there's no doubt in my mind wether I like Civic or not, that new Civic Si's overall packaging will beat anything under 20K. If you can comeup with a better all around vehicle, I'll be glad to recommend it to friends and relatives and members of this board.

Competition and shyt talkin from the media is awesome as it forces manufacturers to build awesome cars even at 15-20K prices. I know Civic Si will be the new king, but you also get a great ride when other makes improve their lineups to keep up with Civic. It's a great time to be car shopping.

If you get a Civic, and live in a major city, be prepared to have your "H" stolen

That's so 90ish, those guys have gone pro and take the whole car in broad daylight, strip it down, melt anything they can't sell. Owner gots nothing to lose(except maybe some unused condoms in the glove box), insurance takes care of everything.
