Buying or Selling a Lemon
You guys are always so informative and wanted to ask you guys the following.
I understand what a lemon law car means, however what does that mean when you buy or sell one that is a lemon car?
For example, someone is trying to sell a Lexus SC430 that is classified as a lemon. I got the car report and it does not show that there was any major issue. When I contacted the dealer for the history on the car it seemed ok. The complaint was that the roof did not close smoothly. When I tested the roof open and closing it woked fine. I even compared to other ones.
So, my quesion is ... is it worth it to save about 8K on a used 2002? The warranty is still in tact and they are offering it with a 100K extended warranty. Also, how difficult would it be for me to resell when I need to?

but i agree, it's very hard to sell lemon car, it's something attached to the car for life i believe, just like the salvage title.
I would compare a lemon car to a salvage title vehicle. You can buy them cheap and sell them cheap. You could save $8K and have a pimp car but I think the lemon law means that there were 3 or more attempts to remedy a problem or problems without success. It could be electrical problems that show themselves at different times. If you're considering it, I would look over the warranty details very closely. It's probably not a great idea, IMO.
Yea, my girlfriend's car has been wrecked 4 times and shows up as a no accident vehicle on CarFax
