GM already has a hybrid system, it's called the Allison E-Drive system and are currently used by New Flyer and Gillig in diesel hybrid buses. Maybe if GM can shrink down the technology and offer the world's first true hybrid pickup, it's based off the Allison 1000 transmission used in GM HD pickups and school buses...
