I had a s13, everything kept breaking on that car. Blown head gasket, tranny, etc. The previous owner just didn't do any maintenance, I found this out too late. It was a blast to drive but it gave me so many headaches. If you do decide on a s13, please look for one in immaculate condition. The s13's that I've seen around here are all breaking apart, mostly because their owners just don't maintain their cars.

You should also test drive a sc300 5spd if it is one of your choices. You would be surprised what a few choice suspension upgrades can do to the handling.

if you decide to go for the 240, stick to the s13 DOHC, is nimbler and better handling than the s14, if you can find a coupe, even better.. I got one myself, had a s14 long ago and I like this one much better!, 51k in body 21k on engine <replaced by nissan under warranty, long story..>

Thanks guys!!

S13 (checking it out this weekend) and the SC3 (hopefully can check it out when I call the guy later today) are the two being considered right now. My co-worker is bringing his 280Z down to work today also! So I will get to try that out =D

The S13s I've been looking for are first owner and as stock as possible... there are always ways to check if the suspension has been swapped/etc so I'll be doing some inspects hahaha. I heard they are headaches if you get the wrong one... but I'm going to be really careful if I decide on this one.

The SC3 is my dream car (best styling, best luxury, best reliability, best... overall) once it's swapped out for a 2jzgte, but I'm afraid it'll be so slow (as a few people off these boards said). So I'm gonna test drive it and if it's up to par... then it's time to decide on which SC to get

MR2 is a quite a snug fit on me... so no =P although I did want one a few years back. Nothing beats seeing a 2nd gen MR-2 and hearing the BOV... except seeing a SC3 and hearing a BOV

Thanks guys! I'll be making my purchase within the next 2 months (the hunt begins) and I'll let you know if I made the right decision

None of the Mustangs from 1971 thru 2004 impress me. Ford did a nice job between 1964-1970, and then it took another 35 years to once again get it right. NOW...FINALLY.... they have it right. I just wish they had used some better materials...the 2005 car IMO feels cheap inside and out.
