Is there a California based site i can go to (not the DMV because i tried that already) in which i can type what i want to put on my plates and could tell me if its taken already? your help is appreciated

dmv is the only place i know of...
that's where i checked out whether or not what i wanted was available

I went to the DMV web site but they dont have a place to type and check for whats available.
