Default I'm Getting a New CAR!!!

My 1987 Acura Integra didn't pass the smog check at 15 mph, so we took it somewhere to get it fixed. There were also other problems, but that was major. And the guy said that it was not reparable, and even if he did try to fix it, it would not pass the smog check, which means NEW CAR TIME for me.

I'm going to go shopping for a Scion xB this weekend. I can't wait. Normally I was going to get a car in a year and a half when I go to college, but that's not going to happen. I was gonig to try to save some money and work if that was the original plan, so that when college came, my parents and I could afford the new LEXUS IS, but oh well. I'm very happing with getting a Scion.

I'm curious as to why you have chosen the xB over the xA or tC.

I agree.

The Scion tC is an excellent coupe and is the best at filling the shoes of the IS.

If it was me, I prefer the tc, but to each his own. Or why not take a look at the corolla? Just a thought.

I do not like the xA, and the tC is really nice, but I don't want a sports car. I want a 4 door car not a 2-door car. The tC is still a beautiful car though.

Thanks a lot.

The xB is a love it or hate it thing, and I love it.

The xB certainly is not my cup of tea, style-wise, but it does have a number of good things going for it....plenty of headroom, good visibility out, excellent space efficiency, good gas mileage, a low price, Toyota quality (though the sheet metal is not very solid), fairly low insurance, ease of parking, and, as with all Scions, the Saturn-type ease of making a no-dicker deal.
If these are the things you are looking for, you will not be dissapointed.

Good call
It's cheap ( so you can save $ for tuition) and roomy so you can haul stuff. What more can you ask for ?

Forgot one thing. Plenty of rear seat legroom. One of my friends just bought one and the rear seat leg room is outstanding. I can have my legs fully extended sitting in the backseat(with feet under the front seat obviously). From the outside looking in, you think there wont be much room, but as soon as you step in, its more than what you can ask for. Deceiving I must say.

Not a real big fan of the car either, but I've seen a lot of them with aftermarket rims and such, and I must say they look really cool.

i would pick xB over xA and tC. I love the styling of xB, and it's amazing how spacious it is, regardless of how small it looks next to a Suburban.
