Porsche Panamera Official Thread (update-hybrid debuts)
I like the idea of Porsche going into different markets. Thing is I am so used too them building 911's.
WTV people like their SUV. People will probably like their sedan.
One thing 2008 is going to be a sweet year for Luxury and Ultra-luxury sedans, seeing the Aston Martin Rapide should be coming out.

I too like the idea of Porsche going into different markets. I have no complaints on any of their cars (except maybe a few stylistic changes on the Boxster, I hate convertibles to begin with so it's bias). I'm sure Porsche will do it right.
Huckfeldt is always frighteningly accurate with his chops, so I think his are pretty spot on. They match the camo'ed vehicles we've been seeing around too. It looks too bulky and jellybean-y to me, and from what I can tell from the camoed vehicles, it is really, really large too. Still, I'm sure it'll sell like hotcakes just cuz it is a Porsche.

I wonder if this gonna commandeer some of the Audi workings...
Would make sense just to take their underpinnings off say the S8 and cannibalize to see fit. Either way... a 600hp sedan is always cool in my book.

Auto Zeitung has a gallery of spy photos of the Porsche Panamera, the future sports saloon from Zuffenhausen. The prototype seems to be very similar to those we have already seen. The truly interesting photo is the one in which we can see the Panamera and a 911 GT3 together: unless it's badly done photoshop, the Panamera seems truly gigantic "gigantesca".
For the rest, the Auto Zeitung article doesn't add much to what we know about the Panamera: it should be on the market in 2009, with engines ranging from the Cayenne V8s (the naturally aspirated with 385 ps and the turbocharged one with 500 ps), up to a V10 derived from the one mounted on the Carrera GT.
