oh man ... the sea-to-sky higway going to whistler from vancouver is super amazing!

i drove there once, and man, i wished i was driving a porsche instead of the rented chevy tahoe.

Tail of the Dragom reminds me of the 126 between Eugene and Florence in Oregon. A very nice ride along the Siuslaw River.

Coast Highway north of San Simeon.

Some roads that are nice are in Amador County running through the Gold Rush towns like HWY 49. Wish I had the digital...have these shots on film.

 

Here is a shot taken 2 years ago looking over Twin Lakes on the way to Mono Village just outside of Bridgeport, CA. This is north of Mammoth. It was 27 degrees when the clouds came over. Brrrr. The road was like 18 miles long with no outlet, sweeping curves and gentle with increasing elevation. Not fun when it's freezing out but a scenic drive.
