Default Caddy BTS coming?

I know Incinderary will be interested

From Channel Four's website:

Cadillac is to unveil a new compact executive car specifically developed for Europe at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The saloon will be based on the same GM Epsilon platform as the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra and Saab 9-3, and will be built alongside the 9-3 at the Saab factory in Trollhatten, Sweden - a move effectively saving the under-used facility from closure and safeguarding Saab's historic headquarters, at least in the short term. It will go on sale early next year, and GM is expecting to sell around 10,000 cars a year; it may be sold in other markets outside Europe, but is not intended for US sale.

Early reports suggest that this as yet unnamed Cadillac will be fitted with the GM-Fiat 1.9-litre diesel engine and the Holden-built petrol 2.8-litre V6, which will also feature in the upcoming Saab 9-3. In the Saab, the engine is fitted with a single asymmetric turbocharger to develop 250bhp, though this application is said to be unique to Saab, and other models such as this Cadillac are likely to receive a more conventional twin-turbo boost. A four-cylinder petrol unit, probably the Saab 2.0-litre although any engine used in the 9-3/Vectra/Signum family would be feasible, is also expected.

The Cadillac will be smaller than the latest CTS - to be launched in the UK early next month - and is intended as a BMW 3-Series/Mercedes C-Class/Audi A4 rival. Insiders say that it will look substantially different to the Saab, although it will have a similar roofline and side profile, and share the same windows and glass areas; its styling is said to be more conservative and Euro-friendly than that of the blocky, all-American CTS, though it will be clearly identifiable as a Cadillac.

More details may be announced this week in Amsterdam; Cadillac's European distributor, Kroymans, is based in the Dutch capital, and GM boss Bob Lutz is in the city to formally open a showcase 'brand centre' there, a ceremony coinciding with the first day of the Auto RAI motor show. However, Lutz will probably hold back from saying too much about the new car until it is unveiled in Geneva next month.
