Default One of each...

I was at a shopping mall a couple hours ago and saw a Jaguar X-TYPE. It got me thinking about how some models I just don't consider very representative its marque. So, with some personal bias, consideration of sales leaders, and a thought to include at least one of each type of common vehicle (I ended up not succeeding), here's what I feel best represents each marque.

MB: E320
BMW: M3 coupe
Audi: A4 1.8T
Lexus: RX330
Acura: RSX-S
Infiniti: G35 coupe
Jaguar: XJ8 (SWB)
Cadillac: XLR or DeVille
Lincoln: LS V8 or Town Car
Ford: F-150 or Mustang
Chevy: Corvette
Chrysler: 300C
Dodge: Ram 1500
Toyota: Camry
Honda: Civic
Nissan: Maxima
Mazda: Miata
Subaru: Outback wagon
Land Rover: Range Rover
Saab: 9-3
Volvo: V70
VW: GTI
Mitsubishi: Lancer Evo
Hyundai: Sonata

I purposely left several automakers out, because I didn't really have an opinion, even a lukewarm one, about their "representative" car.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

I dont really agree with the Lexus one, and the others I just dont care about haha

For the Lexus, I think it should be the IS300, affordable sports luxury at its best

Interesting topic. Do the "representative" models have to be current? Or can they be a model no longer produced, i.e., a classic?

With Mercedes i'd disagree with the E320. The S500 is their flagship car and let's be honest, is the saloon to which all others are compared to.

BMW - i'm thinking more the 5 Series.

Lexus would definitely have the LS430 as the representation...RX330? whaaaaaat?

Audis can blow me.
