But i've worked it out now, the prices of the cars are remarkably different. The US prices are on average 25% less than Australian prices, and the higher up on the model chain you go the bigger the difference becomes, this appears in all car makes but the differences are huge in luxury cars. Throw in also standard of living issue and how much more we Australians pay for everything i begin to understand.
Wish i grew up in the states i tell you that
I live in Australia too....which I love - all but for the freakin taxes though.
I'm 26 years old....turning 27 next month. Have a 98 GS3 and a 99 ES3.
It makes me cry just thiking that you guys in the states pay only USD $43k for an M3. We pay almost 2.5 times that amount.
When I was 17 I had an extremely embarrasing 1983 Ford Falcon XE (you guys in the states probably would not know what our Falcon's looked like but just imagine a big brick painted blue) with no power steering and an AM radio. I did sneak out my dad's NSX though (thank God I never crashed it!).
I am going to sit in a corner with Dominik and MoFunk and cry.

I'm saying that i was bewildered by the fact that the young people were purchasing the cars new by their own means. One of my best pals in high school got an M3 (that might not sound impressive but consider the Australian price is the equivalent to 97K US$ double that of the American price) as his first car when he was 18, but it's different when you buy it yourself. Now if you read my posts again i believe you'll understand what i'm saying.
AHHH...ok...i tend to skim rather than read hahaha....i get you now...
i bought mine by my own means...5 years of slave labor....
