At least it drives better than overpriced VW's.
I've seriously considered both and the only reasoning I was focusing on the SRT was that I wanted a warranty and odds are there will still be less repairs/maintenance on a new dodge vs an older Toyota, even if it's just the 30 60 90 maintenance. However, an MR2 turbo may just be in my future if the SC sells soon.

Yeah..it's a shame that most of Saturn's products today are so junky. The company itself is a real masterpiece of customer service, easy, hassle-free car buying, and a 30-day money-back guarantee....there is SO much going for it from a customer's point of view. Unfortunately, parent GM has really neglected Saturn's PRODUCTS. They are getting worse and worse every year. You are correct about the VUE...Chevy did a MUCH better job with the Equinox, which is built on the same platform, even if it doesn't have the Honda V6 or the plastic body panels like the VUE.

What is happening is that GM is trying to re-make Saturn into just another one of its mainstream divisions....perhaps to replace now-defunct Oldsmobile. So Saturn vehicles are becoming just rebadged versions of other globalized GM products. That's why the Ion doesn't have the spin-off transmission filter or a Saturn-exclusive engine like its predecessor, the S-series, did. And the center-mount gauge panel obviously makes it easier to make export right-hand-drive versions. The midsize L-class never did to start with...they were just redone Opels...and they had metal quarter-panels instead of plastic. Soon all the plastic panels on all Saturn vehicles will be gone...period. That is the plan for the next-generation Saturns.....along with a minivan...the Saturn Relay....a twin of the upcoming Buick Terraza.
