Ive tried that once... didnt like it too much. I used to drive a 5 speed on a daily basis, so it makes my mind think its the clutch. when that happens, i push the brake pedal a wee bit too hard...

On the telemetry it shows how much sooner Micheal can get on the the throttle vs Rubins after braking
Race car drivers do it to keep the throttle open and keep the RPMs up while braking.

I never brake with my left foot, & since I alternate between driving a manual & an automatic all the time, I won't even try since that will probably screw up my coordination when driving the manual & that could be dangerous.

ive tried it a few times.... when ur driving hard and u want a lot of throttle/brake play around the twisties... my uncle always drives with his left foot for braking.... he tailgates like a ****.... i suppose he needs that left foot there to jam on the brakes before he hits someone. its scary riding in his car lol.

A buddy who races will left foot brake only on track in his race car, on the street, he uses his right foot.
There are enough left foot brakers who have their lights lit up while driving down the street.

One of my very good friends is not only a left foot braker.... but he's a left foot "gasser" as well

He had some injuries that make his right leg unsuitable for driving, so he just uses his left leg for everything...

YEP, been there, done that. i cant brake with my left foot either, no matter how hard i try.

and dynasty, if your uncle ever gets behind me, tell him to back the hell off, you never know when a part will "mysteriously" fall off of my car, its 15 years old and in severe disrepair.

Ha! I got funny story to tell involving left foot braking!
I was with my girlfriend one night in my 3000GT. We just left the club and headed home .. well at least that was the intention but she headed straight to my crotch. So she gave me a BJ while I was driving. It was fun but also complicated since the car was manual so I had to drive without stops while maintaining some normal speed. For some reason I really don't remember what, I wanted to slow down the car .. With my left foot!
The car stalled right away in less than a second! My girlfriend hit her head on the steering wheel and her shoulder on the shifter. She started freakin out thinkin that something has happened. But after some time I calmed her down and she went back "to business".
After all we all came home safe!

So be careful with that left foot

i notice that some "performance" driving people they do that when they drive, and the next thingi found out is tha they dont' know how to drive a stick shift, and they say that this will give them faster reaction time when braking.... i have no clue about what they are saying, but for sure i dont' do that
