Default Did Anyone See this?

I was watching "Motorweek" this past Saturday and towards the end of the show there was featured a "spy photo" of a coupe that Toyota was testing. The narrator of the segment described the car as a high-performance, 500HP coupe, that would use technology from Toyota's F1 engine, that would debut in 2006, "probably" under Lexus badging, and that would use Toyota's gasoline/hybrid technology. Has anyone heard about this car? Did anyone else see this show?

Since Motorweek is a very credible show, I have got to believe that this car is the real deal and will be coming on the market.

Leslie,

I moved your post to the car chat forum since it isn't specific to the SC430

Couple of posts related to Toyota supercar varieties.... was it one of these?

The car pictured in the thread you attached was the same photo I saw on Motorweek. According to the show's announcer, the car would use technology from Toyota's F1 engine, would be gasoline/hybrid and, best of all, would be a Lexus!

If you watch this show regularly, you know that it is hosted by John Davis. Try E-Mailing him...I don't have it with me, but wou can probably get it from the show's website or Phone number. I know the show's address is Owings Mills, MD.
If you can't get in touch with John any other way, come to the Washington, D.C Auto Show Dec.26-Jan.2 at the new D.C. Convention Center. He comes every year and works the auto press booth taking questions from the public. Last year I spent some time myself talking with him there. He is really a nice guy.....I'm sure he will be glad to explain how the show tested the car and what its introduction prospects are...but some are some things the auto press is not allowed to divulge because of corporate secrets.
Check the show's schedule for the days and times he'll be there. Good luck.
