It's that stupid triangular fog light housing like what they did on the 3 series. When I first saw that I was worried for the 3. But yes, that as well as the headlights just kill the car.

2005 Chevy Monte Carlo.
I currently am renting one for a week (vacation package deal) and I have to admit, this is the first car I have driven in a LONG time that I am embarrased to be in.
What a colossal piece of complete shlt. The lines are a total design abortion of someone's nightmare. Nothing flows. It's just a blob of jelly that gravity has pulled on in different directions. The tail lights look like soggy breasts or an elderly woman's face. The headlights have a bulge in the center that just make it look down syndrome and the swooping side flares just belong on late 70's Mustang. The bumpers just bulge out in random places. It's a semi-solid hunk of molten CRAP.
What a complete crash and burn for Chevy.

How people are BUYING these things is just totally beyond my capacity of comprehension. Most people buy ugly cars because they are different or expensive or whatever. (xB, Bangle's abomination's etc) But this car is ugly for no reason. It's slow, cheaply made, smells inside, and runs like crap.
Maybe the smell is result of explosive vomitting from prior occupants enjoying the "experience" that is Monte Carlo.
What's worse, it starts at $20k. $20k! Camrys and Accords start at less than that. Who in their right mind would drive this SHlT over a Camry or Accord??

Yes the Monte sucks...not to mention it's FWD. It would be horrible if it was a new model this year, but like Chevy's Impala, the fact that these cars used to kick major butt makes it all the worse. Old G Bodies were some of the best looking (non exotic) cars to come out of the 80's IMO.

On a side note, I returned the Monte Carlo I had rented a day early (yesterday) because I didn't want it in my possession anymore and the rental guy asks me "So how'd you like the car?" LOL I had to bite my tongue to not go off on him, too. Hahahaha.

man i know this is an old thread but... i have a forester and yes ungainly as it is, it will smoke my aristo anyday. it is amazing how the turbo spools up and lauches that thing. but yes, it is ugly yet pretty quick..
