jealousy is ugly
some people will vandalize anything, I got into a buddies Acura CL-S and was like uhhh dude somebody keyed the passenger front fender all the way to the quarter panel...this was on campus
another buddy got his Prelude keyed, and my brother got a big *** dent put into his new Accord Cpe, along with some torn up weather stripping.
some people really got issues

I wouldn't take any chances, if you're really concerned don't bring the GS to school. Never under estimate or take people for granted. It's all about prevention.
Granted, if someone really wants to get at your car there's not much you can do besides stand guard for 24hrs. But in this case at least you'll know one potential for disaster was avoided.

I'm kind of in the same situation as you. I got a sc300, and I'm not the most liked guy in the school. I think my car is going to get keyed, but hey, a new paintjob for $500 sounds good to me

Well its 1227 now and I just got home 10 mins ago. Nothing happened to my car today and I am glad it is that way. All my life I have never been one to go show off my things, people usually come up to me and ask hey whats that cool gadget you got there or whatever. I am doing the same with my car. When people ask me about it I am like you can find out for yourself. I feel that my larger size- 6 4 helps in keeping some of the underclassmen from even thinking twice about touching the car. I am just going to drive it to school and be like yeah so what, sh*t happens even though if it annoys the hell outta ya.
As for one members question earlier about cameras; yes we do have them but they are all inside school and none outside overlooking the parking lot. On the otherhand there are classrooms that overlook the parking lot and usually teachers are good at noticing conspicious and detrimental behavior.

Having to schedule your classes or what not for the car is a big
If I were you, I would NOT drive the car to school. Get a beater to and from school. You can drive the beautiful GS after school. This way, you'll have a lot less to worry about and can focus more on your studies.
I totally understand how you feel. I feel the same way about my car when I park it in a mall parking lot. I think about my car many many many times while I'm in the mall. I don't know how I would be able to concentrate if I was in that situation when I was in school.
Good luck with everything.
Cadd
All right buddy. I'll give you some advice. You have two options
1. Buy a beater toyota for about $1500 and drive it to work/school while you drive your Lexus on other occasions.
2. Drive it anywhere and everywhere and not give a damn about it and don't B*tch about it. Is is just a car right? No need to get paranoid.
Personally I take my car everywhere and park it everywhere, have it valet and everything. I love my Lex as much as everyone here but it will no way control my way of living. If its going to get dinged and keyed then so be it. it comes with the territory. If you cant accept this then by all means drive a stock corrola and no one will ever notice what your driving.
Life is easy if you know what your doing

So you have a GS and your a senior in high school? LOL, sounds familiar.
I also was once in your shoes (two years ago)
I never received any "threats" to my face but there was always one or two people I knew who might try something? Solution? Nothing. Just smile and drive your car as you please. I'm assuming your GS is stock in which case you'll receive less flack.
In senior year my car had L-Tuned sides, Greddy lip, 18" Work wheels, Coilovers, and the L-Tuned Grille. Most people just gave me props for it or envied the hell out of it but were cool about it. The point is to not worry about anything until you see a real need for concern. It's you last year of high school buddy. Enjoy it while it lasts.
I could go on and on about the stories this car has held... LOL

well if u have some beater to drive, i say u should drive the beater , cuz when highschool peeps say if they are gonna key ur car, THEY WILL DO IT -.- trust me on this, i'vee seen worse.
When my and my grandma were driving, someone noticed that my tires were deflated. So we pulled over and checked and they were. So the next day before school I went to put air back into the tires and the fronts were at 20psi! The rears were a bit better at 30. I also noticed that the tire pressure caps were missing. I usually park head out, so someone was probably like, "hey, i need some of those". Cost to me: 75c.
