Remember, even if a minivan matches the HP rating of an SC, they're
still pulling a lot more size and weight.

Now, before you guys get too hot about running minivans, though, keep in mind one important thing.....a Sienna may keep up with some of the lower-powered SC's in a straight line....but with a minivan's high center of gravity, tipsy nature, fairly soft suspension, and low-performance tires, try sharp cornering at higher speeds like an SC and I can virtually guarantee you that you'll wind up in the ditch or on your roof....and be in the next morning's newspaper.

This is a boring land, I have bike and I`m dying for some curves to have fun with. I`m wearing my tires in the center only like squib. Shame...
I started this thread to point out how concept of performance vehicle changed since 12 years ago...
Shorter final driver gears + lousy CD drag ratio + weight = Zero Top speed.
Okay, so the soccer moms can be happy beating a SC3 in their minivan for a while. But on the freeway, it's all over.
It won't even beat a IS200 in top speed runs.

Well, because of the minivan's size and weight, they often have shorter final-drive gears to make up for it, which add to the acceleration potential.

If I get caught doing over 100mph I be arrested, with trooper car every 10 miles why even talk bout it?
You guys can't forget about the Turbo Minivans from the late 80's. Those Dodge Caravan Turbos are no joke.... some people build those things to be real monsters
But I definitely agree with what's been said, SC should take a minivan out in the top end no problem (at least a stock minivan...), and in the twisties for sure, stock or not.
