Are you friggin kidding? If CHP were to use Toyota's, how on Earth will we see them coming and be able to slow down in time? No no no, I hope they are happy with their stick-out-like-a-sore-thumb crown-vic interceptors. Now if only they would paint themselves hot pink for better visibility and "safety" reasons, I would be all set.

Toyota isnt going to pass GM anytime soon, at least in terms of sales.

i went and test drove the xB the other day. it actually drove surprisingly smooth and nice for a 108 hp car. i know the design of the car is controversial but it's one hell of a car with a starting price of $15,000.

now, the tC i definitely like. personally, i think a Scion can be a great daily driver to own while keeping the Lexus pampered.

personally, i would rather drive the xB than the Echo.

Along with the Mazda 3 this will dominate the class. Why would anybody in their right
mind buy a Hyundai or Kia over this?

I predict Toyota taking over as the world's largest automaker within the next 10 years.

Well, Hyundai has shown tremendous improvement in their products over the last 5-6 years...Kia less so, although the Sedona seems to have good fit-and finish. I would agree that any Toyota product...including Scion....... is likely to be more reliable in the long run than a Hyundai or Kia, but in value-per-dollar and long-term warranty protection you can't beat the Koreans. The fit-and-finish on the new Accent and Santa Fe, especially, is as good as any non-Lexus Toyota product I have seen.....but the Korean powertrains still aren't quite as reliable. And no new Toyota product starts at 10K brand-new.
But if you think Hyundai STILL makes junk you are living in the past......long ago. Things change...welcome to the 21st century.
