JD Power and Associates Vehicle Dependability study has found that Lexus and Porsche are the best cars to buy for lasting reliability.

The survey tracks long-term vehicle quality over the first three years of ownership.

Porsche topped the auto makers with a score of 193 problems per 100 vehiles, while Lexus was the best brand with 163 problems per 100 vehicles.

Mercedez-Benz feared badly with twice as many complaints as Lexus, and Kia came in dead last with a whopping 509 problems per 100 vehicles.
