I'm having an argument with 3 other guys about the pronunciation of the "Saleen S7"... is it "suh-leen" (my vote) or.... "say-leen"???
I've googled it and can't find anything.
Also I want some evidence to slap in their faces so any websites addressing this matter would help.
P.S. Yes I know this is a stupid question but I've gotten nothing better to do that write an English Comp 2 paper........ procrastination is heaven
i would say it's "Suh-leen" just for reasoning that if when we say salon do we say "say- lon" , no we say "suh - lon" , but if we were in england they would probably say "say-leen".
Ya "say-leen" sounds right. If youve been to autoshows, they would introduce the car as the sayl-een s7 if i remember correctly.

I can reason that the word "saline" as in a saline solution is pronounced "say-line" and not "suh-line". Who knows, maybe we just need a video to prove this.
I vote for Suh-leen cuz i even heard it purnounced that way on the Travel Channel when they were at the Saleen plant while building the 7. That's my vote and it does make more sense.

For what a Saleen costs to buy, run, and insure, and the heads that will turn at you.....who CARES how it is pronounced? That's like asking a Rolls-Royce owner how to pronounce Gray Poupoun mustard.

I vote Say-leen. I've heard them say it that way on Car & Driver TV. Also, I talked to a factory Saleen factory rep at the Dallas auto show last year, and he pronounced it say-leen. If you're still not convinced, look up their phone number and call it to see how they answer the phone.
HAHHAHAA, you actually emailed them and ask? hahah that's a good one man. yeah, it's suhleen, i am sure coz' i have heard that on tv. heck suh-leen sounds so much better
