Got Another Pleasant Surprise from GEICO
Spoiler alert!
No, not sure I would upgrade yet. We'll see. Remember - there will be a C9...
But yeah I think the stats on typical Vette drivers are working in my favor. They typically do low miles and aren't commuters.

Geico takes everyone. It's one of the worst CS experiences out of all the major players. State Farm you get a local agent and don't have to do anything if you file a claim. I have no idea why anyone would choose Geico when it's just as expensive
My experience is that I'll pay more for home and auto insurance if I choose not to periodically change insurance companies. I was with State Farm (local agent). 5+ years later GEICO (no local agent) was about 50% lower for the same coverage and deductables so I switched. 5+ years later Allstate (local agent) was about 30% lower than GEICO so I switched. It's been over 5 years. As much as Allstate has raised rates I'd be surprised if I can't find a better price. It's a never-ending exercise with insurance, cable, Internet, cellular and satellite providers. I need an AI Agent!

When I need to file a claim, I just call the 1-800 number on the back of my card and then a claims adjuster reaches out. I assume if I called the agent, I would still need to deal with the claims adjuster anyway so what's the point of the agent?
Changing the policy can now also be done online.
As for GEICO, out of curiosity, I did an online quote for my property and car, and it came up higher than my current State Farm.

I can't give you an exact number, since I've been with them for 44 years now, and don't necessarily remember every one. But, I know I've had at least three or four for new windshields from picking up stones from commuting on the D.C. Beltway, three or four for panel-repainting from vandalism and/or damage from careless kids on bikes and scooters, one when thieves pried the silver Toyota emblem off the trunk of my Celica that also involved repainting (collecting emblems was a big fad with kids back then), and one significant claim when I damaged a quarter-panel when baking up into a concrete support post. (That last one was my only real claim over the years, and I'll admit that it was my fault). GEICO did not raise my rates on that big one, even though it was my fault, because of my relatively good history with only minor stuff.
I have not had ANY claims at all in the last 20 years or so. I did have a front license plate and its clear cover stolen a few years ago, but the cost of replacing it was low enough ($35-40, as I remember) that I didn't think it was worth a claim.
Fortunately, after reviewing and test-driving probably hundreds of new vehicles in my lifetime (which many of you have read in my MM Car-Chat Reviews) , I have never damaged or wrecked one of those dealer cars, so GEICO has never had to pay out for me on that note.
