AFAIK There will be a hybrid Vette, they don't sell though so it won't be around long. They can make it BEV for all I care, but just allow me the access of a huge honkin' V8 with no turbos or waste gates, non stressed engine to power my SUV or Corvette. 6.7 liters (409) is a huggggge V8, not insannnnneeeee huge but anything over 400CI is pretty bad ***. I don't want any electric motors, or hybrid stuff powering my Escalade I buy 5 years down the road with this new 6.7. Pure ICE only.

I've heard nothing about any mandatory hybrid or electric stuff with the 6.7 and I've been looking. If they're smart, they won't do it.

To be continued....

People forget there's this thing called torque, from displacement lol. It's instant and easy.

What's your source???

Grand Sport X has a front electric motor and 721hp.

So there will be a hybrid option, that's cool... but I think most Corvette buyers will just want the ICE only V8. There is no mandatory hybrid assist or electric motors, zip.

The E ray was a sales disaster, somewhere around 3%? IDC though, as long as everyone can get what they want. I want more choices back now that I think about it.

I made a dedicated thread about the C8 Grand Sport and GSX here in Car Chat since this might turn into a Corvette thread otherwise.

well, not every hybrid is a fully baked into the engine or trans designs. Some are some aren’t…

Oh, lol as long as it's not mandatory and ICE is the norm I can literally guarantee we will eventually have an Escalade, next gen. I seriously can't imagine in my wildest dreams how they could make them any nicer right now than they are (with a few exceptions), but they will. The doors open and close automatically like a Rolls for crying out loud.

I'm just more of a truck enthusiast than sports car, though OF COURSE I love Corvettes. But that's why we want LC500 convertible, it's a GT and not a pure sports car like a Corvette, even though Corvettes are mighty nice inside these days-- that should be noted.

You’re missing out. Nothing like when the turbo(s) kick in.

I chose turbos over LC500

I like boost, I really enjoyed that Eco 3.5 I drove for 10 days. Now that you mention it boost is addictive and fun to "play with". But doing that means you're having to sort of adjust to the vehicle around its boost characteristics and I didn't care for that, I got used to it and didn't mind it... but no, the V8 in the Denali is a monster, lemon or not. You know exactly, precisely what you're getting and when you're gonna get it. No lag. Still no issues here, no problems at all actually... it's been 3 years, has about 37k miles on it. Not one problem at all now that I think about it. Believe it or not the last gens were very reliable... here's the data:

BTW @FrankReynoldsCPA Not to OT but..

I'm in Vegas lol. Do you literally really NEVER come down here to the strip? I GET IT if you say no.... but Las Vegas is literally a world class destination.

My god all these hookers and women dressed ridiculously, what a place to people watch.... It's like being single and looking lots of people looking nice on the other hand, like people out to attract mates. I mean I present myself nicely but I'm married 11 years, IDGAS if I have 5 o clock shadow etc. Lol. A lot of ******** walking around here too, it's gotten worse over the years I've noticed.

Staying at Caesars. There are better/nicer hotels but I've just always preferred CP. Lovvvvvve their casino, the casino drinks are strong and the pool is the best pool I've ever been to in my life. The location is hands down the best on the Strip. I do get why you wouldn't come down here frequently, it's crazy and just too much. We are having a blast though. The scooter I rented (still recovering, in physical therapy doctors advice etc), the battery level was getting scary so I had to basically drive it on fumes all the way from inside the Bellagio where the other friends are to my room at Caesars Palace next door. I just about didn't make it and would have been screwed. My cell phone was dead and my husband is getting more drunk by the hour with them all lol, lol not a good situation to be in stuck on some dead *** scooter with no phone. But I made it!!!

It's 4AM my time and I want to go back down to party more but I just don't have it in me lol, I barely got 15 minutes of sleep last night at home. Only here 3 nights, that's the perfect time. It gets old quickly, as fantastic as it is....I will say that. 4 nights TOPS.

Prices are out of control. We figured out that tonight, we had the most expensive drinks we've ever bought from a bar in either of our lives. $84 for two double well Vodka and Seltzer's are they ****** kidding me? We have plenty of money, money set aside for the trip to blow but ohh I was bitching about that for a while, that is absolutely ******* insane. Plastic cups, not even glasses. $80+ for two drinks???

Yeah I avoid the strip 99% of the time. I make it down there maybe once or twice a year. Just too many people, prices are high, parking is a bitch, and I don't even drink.

Ready for Knoxville, my house, my bed, my dogs, my dogs snoring, my old school ice maker dispenser the ones that work, my 23492394923 oz water cup, my tv and cable...

I frkiggin love Vegas(!) but it's a "wham bam thank you maam" place. Doesn't take long to get sick of it. The whole group has been doing nothing but buying designer **** lolllll. So fk it, I'm getting myself something or two really nice tomorrow too hahaha.

I'd leave tomorrow night on a flight if I could vs Monday morning. Lord I'm only 44 and feel like an old geezer.
