Had a 2RX for 12 years. Was good overall but turned out to not be ideal for us, mostly due to the small seats not being a good long-term fit for tall people. Super happy with the Q7 that replaced it. But the upcoming Highlander looks GREAT, so when that morphs into an RX we might be back.
2003 LS 430 UL (bought new, gone - miss it)
1999 ES 300 (CPO, gone - miss it)
2011 IS F (bought new, gone)
2013 GS 350 F Sport (Lease, returned for. . .)
2014 GS 350 F Sport (CPO, now 80 K Miles, just had all fluids flushed, still seems like new)
In 2023 I was considering a GX 550 Overtrail, but I got impatient and also didn't want a first-year, early adaptor car, so I got a 2024 4Runner.
I plan to take care of and keep the 2014 GS as I don't see much out there now from Lexus, or anyone, that I want (that I can afford).
Great video and audio--Many thanks and I agree with your exhaust note assessment!
The two-wheeled rocket-sled Experience is the best thing one can do with pants on.
Dropping the photos is Striker .223's (or 5.56) fault/motivation--the look inside his engine at the gears and oil moved me...
ive thought about it but put so much time and money in it. Was a buddy of mines who passed away so ive been taking care of it for 10+ years now and did tons to it.
I've owned one Lexus: a 1998 GS430 L-Tuned Stage 2 which was an absolutely awesome car.
But Lexus lost me with their middled messaging on what they wanted to be as a brand, their hideous design language, and their inability to differentiate themselves in the marketplace. The LC500 is the one vehicle that has tempted me, but even then the way Lexus forces buyers into extremely limited color and option choices based on geographic location turns me off.
I *want* to own another Lexus--that GS430 was so incredible that it alone made me love the brand--but they need to get out of their own way and actually create a product good-looking enough and compelling enough to be worth getting.
Owned a 2nd gen 2010 IS350 Sport that I modded a bit (suspension and steering). Loved the car, you can read more about it in my build thread in my signature
There's really no modern Lexus that appeals to me besides the LC500, IS500 and RCF, and now that I've gone to the dark side, I ain't coming back

There is a stunning, stock black on black GS400 that lives in my parking garage at my office. I will take pictures of it one day next week. Historic tags too.
Just got back from a nice drive in the country before we get another pita snowstorm. The 2UR is an awesome engine. Once you get above 3,500 rpm it just feels so good.
Former owner of two GS300s. Family had a bunch of RXs starting from 1st gen. Several LS
Probably will own LC500 in future.
Also would love to mod another 2nd Gen GS, i search regularly on FB marketplace if something pops up locally. Unfortunately most are abused or already modified beyond repair.
