There's a tremendous use case for a facility like that. It can be a lot more space efficient, because people are by and large absolutely terrible at parking and this saves the otherwise necessary space to allow people in and out, along with moving fully charged cars in and out of bays and staging spaces to maximize open chargers. Your car can be staged closer to the exit as you approach your pickup time or automatically based on your location etc. Remember too that another key benefit of faster public EV charging isn't just the reduction in time that you spend charging your own individual car, it's the ability to charge more EVs in the same time with the same number of chargers. If you look at the world through that lens, places like this that can charge at scale make sense and provide a potentially beneficial answer to the problem of urban EV ownership with more limited access to home charging. I think it's pretty cool.

The space efficiency in a urban style garage is the big draw. Remember too that appears to be an apartment building, so you could in theory just call for your car before you leave your apartment and the car will be waiting for you when you get downstairs
you think a valet or exiting a self-park garage is really significantly faster?
I think self park would be significantly faster.
in response to calling it up in advance, good idea but everyone is thinking the same. I wonder what happens when the car arrives at the entrance/exit. I’m not sure the robot or conveyor is built to move the vehicle aside. I can only imagine having 5 cars being called out at once and not an owner in sight.
the only benefit would be the space efficient part.
"Significantly faster"? Including... taking the stairs/elevator to the level your car is parked on, and circulating around and around each level to the exit? Sure, ok.

This sounds like one of those "feels faster" vs "is faster" things. Standing around waiting for something always feels slower vs driving and walking for a period of time.

Well, since you put it that way...lol
Hmm, maybe more convenient?

correct. I remember learning in college that airlines try and send your luggage to the furthest baggage carousel so you spend a few more minutes walking there, and less time standing and waiting for the baggage to arrive there
