That is hard to do when Toyota is hiding the truth instead of a pathetic excuse of debris, LOL!
Mechanical defects usually appear before the 50,000 mile mark. Issue a 100,000 mile engine replacement warranty at zero cost to owners and they might get some of the public's trust back.
I’ve never heard good things about a V8 Ram other than it’s a V8.
Hemi tick
Exhaust manifold leaks
the cylinder deactivation.
Outside of 3UR give me a coyote.
TONS of huge Hemi fans out there. My partner who traded his V8 Ram in for his Silverado which had an engine replacement and now burns a quart of oil every 1000 miles much preferred his Ram.
friend has two RAMs with the 5.7. 6-7 years ago, he lost both engines and then traded it in for the RAM diesel.
meh…overrated…. it’s a FORD
Spoiler
Fix Or Repair Daily
Coworkers with Hemi Rams who lost their engine as well, replaced headliner due to leaking 3rd brake light, replaced entire dash due to radio malfunction.
Farm Ram diesel on its 2nd transmission 🙃
Farm 3/4 ton 6.0 gas Silverado has surprisingly being pretty solid.

Same coworker Ram engine failed, he went back to GM.
Odd, I have had 6 rams, 5 of which had Hemi's, none with overly significant issues. Hemi's need to be worked. If you're sitting around idling or in traffic alot, you're gonna have a bad time. Rev the **** out of them with a slight load, they run 400k no issue. Most people that buy them commute to work and home, maybe haul a bag of mulch or 5 on a weekend. 90% of big-truck owners would be fine with a honda ridgeline or an SUV and a small trailer.
The fix for the cam/lifter issues is to install a hellcat oil pump, then it'll never drop below 52psi oil pressure whether idling or not. The cam lifter issue is from oil starvation in the top end at idle. The oil pressure drops to 29-32psi at idle and that just isnt enough for a small-block to circulate 7 quarts of oil to every passageway in the motor.

hemi tick -dont excessively idle and use thicker oil. This is partially due to emissions/mpg BS because they lowered the idle rpm from 750rpm to 550rpm to try to save fuel, oil pump doesnt deliver enough oil during idle speeds now.
lot of other brand trucks get exhaust manifold leaks also, ecoboosts, silverado/sierras, etc.
Rams cylinder deactivation doesnt cause catastrophic failure like GMs does, but these systems need to go away.

not only that, valve bodies in the 10 speed transmission, which was codevelopped with Ford. Ram uses the ZF 8 speed which is very solid
