Something can not be to your taste but you can recognize it’s not a failure. Lexus isn’t a failure at all.

Audi at least made cars that were halo level for years in years and gave so many options that are excellent to his day and greater than anything Lexus ever made. Their current direction is not great but at least you can still buy some high end models unlike Lexus who never even offered equivalents in the first place.

That's the difference. There is no Lexus equal to the RS car, the top SUVs or the R8 not to mention all the euro only stuff we never got. I'm also importing one of those landmark euro only cars, I would never bother to do that with any Lexus as there is nothing worth importing from them

Respectfully if you are buying used cars your opinion doesn’t matter. You are not the target for anyone. These companies are in business to sell new cars.

Wild you call Lexus a failure and they sold twice as many cars here than Audi.

No Audi lapped faster than a 16 year old LFA at the ring. Audi isn’t a failure. FYI the r8 isn’t sold anymore. I like how you lean on RS but how about a fwd 4 cylinder A1 in Europe lol.

It’s okay to say “hey I don’t like what Lexus offers”. Calling it a failure is more a reflection on you than them.

yup, i think it comes down to this. it's a business after all, money talks. it would be great if they can find the middle ground to make good money while keeping some fun cars but if they can't find a way to make it happen, it is what it is. they aim for the segment where there are most buyers and they are able to capture that successfully (ES, NX, RX) while cutting cars where they don't make much money, who can possibly fault them for that?

no doubt it's disappointment to enthusiasts (especially given all the cool cars they once produced like the GS and SC) but it can't be a failure by any objective measure.

at least akio is still trying to do something to make fun cars
