American Honda Posts Multiple April Sales Records Powered by New Models and Improving Supply
May 1, 2025- American Honda sales totaled 137,656 units in April, with record sales of light trucks (100,079 units) and electrified models (41,116) supported by the success of all-new products and healthy inventory.
- Honda brand sales totaled 123,637 in April, up 16.6% for the month, 8.5% for the year, with passenger cars, light trucks and electrified models posting sales gains across the lineup
- Honda light trucks posted April sales of 88,807 units, up 24% YoY
- CR-V continued to lead all Honda models in sales with 41,483 units for its best month of April ever, with hybrid sales mix over 53%
- Pilot sales of more than 12,000 were up 2.3% YoY
- All-new Passport posted its record April sales, with 5,457 units, up 98.9% in April
- HR-V posted strong April sales of 13,912 as the gateway Honda CUV, up 6.7% year to date and its best April ever
- Odyssey sales of 9,677 units were up 32.1% YoY, for its best April in 9 years
- Honda set an all-time April record for sales of electrified vehicles with 38,785 units, led by hybrid-electric models with Civic sales over 34% hybrid, CR-V over 53% hybrid and Accord topping 60% hybrid mix. Sales of the all-electric Prologue SUV reached 1,847 units
- Civic led Honda passenger cars on sales of 23,553 units, with Civic hybrid achieving a record April and its 2nd-best month of all-time
- Acura sales totaled 14,019 units in April, up 33% year over year, marking the brand’s best April since 2021, led by strong performance of the all-new ADX gateway SUV, and strong supply across the lineup
- Acura SUV sales of 11,272 were up 49.1% in April
- Sales of the Acura ADX totaled 970 in its 1st full month on the market
- MDX April sales topped 4,230 units, up 3.1%, RDX posted April sales of 3,741 units, up 8.2%
- All-electric ZDX posted a new monthly sales record (2,331)
- Acura sedan sales reached 2,747 units with Integra sales of 2,038 as the model continues to lead its segment with 41% market share

For the 4th month in a row, Forester maintained its position as the top seller with 19,330 vehicles sold, up 8.3 percent over April 2024. Crosstrek took the next spot, marking its best April ever with 14,935 vehicles sold, a 23.2 percent increase over the same month in 2024. Outback sales also remained strong with 11,501 vehicles sold, and both BRZ and Legacy saw positive sales growth over the previous year.

- Telluride, Sportage, Carnival, and K4 set new best-ever April sales records

Kia’s popular Telluride (+21-percent) and Sportage (+18-percent) SUV models set new April sales records as did the K4 (+5-percent) and the Carnival MPV (+79-percent), bolstered by the successful launch of its hybrid variant in the second half of last year. Electrified model sales also surged with Kia posting a 21-percent increase compared to the same period last year.
“Reporting sales records for seven consecutive months has bolstered the Kia brand even more and we remain dedicated to further strengthening our product lineup and enhancing customer satisfaction through ongoing innovation,” said Eric

IRVINE, Calif. (May 1, 2025) – Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported total April sales of 37,660 vehicles, an increase of 21 percent compared to April 2024. Year-to-date sales totaled 147,976 vehicles sold; an increase of 12.8 percent compared to the same time last year. With 26 selling days in April, compared to 25 the year prior, the company posted an increase of 16.3 percent on a Daily Selling Rate (DSR) basis.
April 2025 sales highlights include:
Mazda Motor de Mexico (MMdM) reported April sales of 7,937 vehicles, an increase of 11 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 34,112 vehicles sold; an increase of 25 percent compared to the same time last year.
Mazda de Colombia (MCOL) reported April sales of 1,784 vehicles, an increase of 32.9 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date sales totaled 6,680 vehicles sold; an increase of 31.4 percent compared to the same time last year.
