Tesla Business & News Thread Pt. 2
Disagree, HW3 and below should get legacy status and never get FSD updates. Waste of resources. And yea I know the haters are going to scream Elon broke his promise and will completely ignore most every other automaker that never updates anything for the life of the car even if it has horrible bugs.
Surely you have to accept that it’s different when the software in question could cost up to 15 grand at one point and the CEO was actively inducing people to pay that with promises of the future delivery of the capability they paid for.
Or he is waiting for the batteries to die in the older hardware cars so they will be junked and nobody will care.

That's why we have a court system. So people that are promised something they paid for don't have to rely on people who don't care for their own selfish reasons in order to be made whole.
Which is fine for you to have that stance.
And Cybercab isn't going to be generating $25,000 in revenue per year per car lol. Uber drivers struggle to make $25,000 a year in profit.
wow, Bob, what level of self-loathing do you have to drive a tesla yet rant endlessly about the company that makes it?
as for a cybercab not being able to make $25kyr because "reasons", it's hard to express how much fail there is in that logic. for starters, uber drivers don't drive 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. for another, the cybercab doesn't have to eat or pay for healthcare, rent, etc.

Your Tesla also won't be able to drive 24/7 because presumably you will also need to drive it some...and people don't need cabs at a high level 24 hours a day. What kind of demand do you think there is for Ubers at 3:30 AM? There's a level of supply and demand at play here, and Tesla is going to keep a sizable cut of the revenue.
This Robotaxi thing is all well and good until someone throws up in the back of your Tesla, leaves a turd the size of a tree truck in your footwell or a cursory check with a black light uncovers all kind of unspeakable stainage in all kinds of unspeakable places.
Exactly. I wouldn't subject my vehicle to that at all.

Never thought about that but now I'm cringed. Haha
