Christmas day, most of the fleet in. The ‘02 ES (beautiful beast) was not. Loaned it out to a commercial fisherman in need (I kid you not - the chief electrical engineer of the Golden Alaska needed it). Darryl approves. For the true fans here - Which car in the photo does NOT have a Toyota/Aisin transmission, the Lexus, the Volvo, or the Chevy?
I want you all to have fun with that question…
Bonus question: I love me some Smoky Granite Metallic, but why is Moonbeam Beige the best color in the last few years?
I'm going to go with Volvo on the transmission question. Before my wife started driving ES300hs, she had a Volvo 850 (one of the best all around vehicles we have owned) and two S80s, and I don't remember an Asian transmission.
I've posted before that when we were looking for her a 2019 I was pushing for an Atomic Silver. We were on the lot on a Sunday and she said "what about that one over there?", which was a Moonbeam Metallic. Obviously we got that one, and it has become my favorite Lexus color.
I have always liked Volvos but I've never owned one or remember driving one either.
I keep saying, "someday", but don't know if it will happen in this lifetime because I always find something I like better.
