Please help.
When I am in the middle of a phone call using my AirPods, when I get into the car, the sound switches to CarPlay Speakers. How to prevent the switch??? I want to keep talking through my AirPods.
I have a 2025 NX350h

 

There isn't any way to achieve this, it automatically selects carplay as the source.

 

Steve is correct - it will automatically transfer the call to CarPlay as soon as your phone establishes a connection with your car. However, you can still transfer the phone call to your AirPod or iPhone using one of the screen buttons on your iPhone.

 

I agree its annoying. I will sometimes get in the car on a call and I want to sit there and finish it up but it transfers to CarPlay and then its all "are you there?" "sorry my phone connected to CarPlay". This isn't a Lexus thing its an Apple thing

 

What happens if you swipe down the Control Center and deactivate wifi before you get in your car?

 

The wireless CarPlay uses Bluetooth to start the connection, then shifts to WiFi so that’s what you would need to disable. Then you would need to get it connected after which just causes another frustration.
