The canceled ttV8 has been mentioned in a few threads. Was there ever a finished product?

What a shame.

 

Carmaker1 confirmed years ago that an LC with the TTV8 was showcased to a private event for Lexus dealers.

 

Toyota filed the patents for it. There are the technical drawing accompanying it m

 

That's misinformation by Kirk Kreifels and already been debunked by David Chao.

 

I remember the "Toyota Cancels All V8 Development" thread was epic.

 

My understanding was that the LC-F with the TTV8 was indeed cancelled despite a showcase prototype being built. Yet the same TT V8 was then shifted over to be used as the starting basis for the powertrain (TT V8 + hybrid, possibly??) in the upcoming LFR/LFA2 which has been widely documented as various test mules and prototypes on tracks.

Either that or a different V8 block was used for the basis for the LFR/LFA2 powertrain which is definitely V8 twin turbo.
