As Bit noted, the truck that is being discontinued is the Ram 1500 Classic, which the 4th gen (2009) Ram. Rather than being discontinued when it was replaced by the 5th gen in 2019, they renamed it the Classic and continued selling it alongside the new models for 5 years, mostly (but not exclusively) to fleets. GM has done something similar with the Silverado in the past, though not for nearly as long.

Yes, thanks..........that's why I said earlier I couldn't vouch for the total accuracy of that story. Seems like You Tube is full of non-prophetical "prophets" LOL.
I continue to look forward to the day when no Cry Slur products litter the road.
Going back to my driving a Cry Slur lowers mental acuity story board, here is another tragic example of what can happen when driving a Cry Slur https://gazette.com/news/wex/star-ho...5349d0a97.html
Personally I don't see much to save. The Pacifica as a product makes sense as a Chrysler, it would feel kind of out of place as a Dodge...but the question is does it cost them anything really to keep it a "Chrysler"? The dealers are all shared...its just a sign with the word "Chrysler"...
Ram and Jeep do very well. The lack of Hemi wont hurt Jeep (very few sold were Hemis), it may hurt Ram. We'll see.

It makes no sense to have one model for a mainstream brand.
There are additional expenses for having signage, website, legal disclosures, etc to keep Chrysler name.
It would fit perfectly as Dodge Caravan.
Dodge will be losing Billions on the new Charger and who knows how much loss in sales revenue compared to previous gen. The new cars are priced 50% higher!

Yet, Dodge-brand minivans sold in huge numbers for decades, even with competition from the Sienna, Odyssey, Quest, and Ford/GM minivans ....or are you just referring to the idea that the Pacifica itself may be too upscale to be branded a Dodge?
my credit score is too high to care.
Let Stellanis/Chrysler or whatever die, so other companies can survive and use the extra income for R&D.
Chrysler, in fact, has actually "almost died" several times now. Only this time, Lee Iacocca is not around to give them the kind of smooth-talking charismatic leadership they had 40 years ago.....and we probably will not see another 2008-style (or 1979/80-style) government bailout.
That's why I think maybe it's a good idea (or ar least a credible) idea to let Walter Chrysler's great-grandson, who has a pride in the organization, have a go at it, per the OP. It's very unlikely that he would mess things up any worse than they are now.....and he will probably bring some much-needed improvements.

This guy has no plans, no experience, no investment strategy, no funds, and not even a price offer yet you seriously think he's going to "improve" things?

He doesn't need any of that. He has pride in the organization!
