Occasional sputtering sounds heard only inside the cabin
2013 GS 350 RWD with only 85k miles
This sound pops up only once in two months or so, I have noticed that in all occurrence, my car was more idled (with the engine and AC on) than usual. This unusual sound can only be heard from the inside, nothing unusual on the outside, hood or under the car or exhausts. A nearby mechanic lifted the car checked all exhaust systems underneath and said there is no issues with exhausts. It varies with acceleration in idle or in drive, whether the AC is on or off. The mechanic said it could be the high pressure fuel pump but I am not convinced. Attached a video, its almost a background sound. Please help!
@GSlove - Make sure you're not hearing the air turbulence produced by the driver seat's ventilation blower.
When the driver seat's ventilation is On and you move your head toward the instrument cluster you'll probably hear a roar or warbling air turbulence sound.
This strange air movement sound effect is caused by the seat's ventilation blower searching for a lower static pressure that it can function at. This condition typically happens when supply ducts are not large enough. In the case of a vehicle's seat ventilation - the airflow out of the seat's perforated holes are not allowing the blower's air volume to be blown out adequately, so it makes a warbling air turbulence sound - but only when you move your head (i.e. ears) forward toward the steering wheel/instrument cluster.

I have the basic option, so no vented seats. I also noticed that it happens only at night, where most electrical load is needed - especially when stationary. Once the sound comes up, it does not go away by reducing the load, preventing load, however seems to avoid the sounds from showing up.
