I'm seeing pricing for the C8 ZR1 top trim starting at just under $196k (before dealer mark-ups). Pretty good increase compared to C7 ZR1 prices. Can you imagine what Corvette prices will be in 5 years? Better snag one now. I read recently the C8 ZR1 turbo cost alone costs $30k (each).

What's y'alls favorite color for the ZR1?

I NEED one in Sebring Orange Tintcoat.

I can't believe you can get this in a convertible. Absolutely fantastic.

GM really knows what people want these days.

Price is disappointing tbh, that's really high for a vette interior etc vs other options you can buy that have that power level or more all in.

Huh? You crazy? This thing is going to obliterate cars costing 2-4xs as much.... Corvettes are known to do that, and I think it's safe to say the C8 is the best Corvette ever.

My Porsche friends just go silent whenever I say "1064hp V8".

That or, "I don't need that much hp..." LOL.

I also ask what Porsche will do 233MPH, silence there too.

Where will/can you use 1064hp? I have to see videos of it in the wild. I would throw a drag pack on it before leaving the dealership. LOL

Still overall an impressive machine.

EXACTLY. That's one reason (besides the astronomical price) why Bugattis sell in such small numbers.

A stage 1 tuned 911 turbo does

No it really won't, for the money you can get much faster in nicer base cars. If this was $150k I would be all over it since you get a great base engine and good base car with a warranty.

At the price it is I'm looking at $30k more than a R8 with the UGR 1200 kit, that's a spare engine and trans with more power on tap in an AWD car with a hell of lot better build.

Indeed, very impressive.

I could do the Z06 with 670 hp... but the ZR1 would cause very bad life decisions.

It's really cool they are making these. Would love to test out a new Z06 sometime.

Fkn insanity. I love it.

This is going to slay practically everything.

First time I ever heard people say something has too much power lmaoooo. Wouldn't bother me.

Nobody has to love the Corvette but it deserves legit respect. This ZR-1 is absolutely ludicrous.

Spinning ain’t winning. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this car lose to a 500hp AWD Honda CRV because ZR1 can’t get traction.

It’s not about how much power you have, it’s about how much you can put down and use!! At least that how I look at it.

I'm aware ;-).

The whole reason the C8 is mid-engined was because GM had reached the limits of what it could do with a front-engined car. This 1064 hp Vette can do 0-60 in 2.3, so it's putting power down quite well. I don't even wanna know what the 1/4 mile trap speed will be.

You can't at least respect the beast? 1064 hp ttV8? Pure ICE....
