It more or less already has been. They've cancelled the next generation of the XM platform along with both the refresh and the planned EV-only version of this one, so production will end in 2028.

Yes, something like that on the LX. There has been so much going on with my surgery and an emergency surgery for a family member(she’s fine), just haven’t gotten around to it. I did yesterday and they said the old oil looked just fine.

Still have the Buick, it’s actually a great car and has proved itself over the years. We had a small a/c warranty issue with it years ago but that’s it. It is as comfortable as all get out and drives and rides very well. I’d drive it to California in a heartbeat.

In this family we just hang onto vehicles. No reason to trade that in for what 6 grand? It gets used as a second car all the time.

 

Perfect way of putting it. I could def see Sam "Ace" Rothstein driving an XM to work. He would put even more gaudy gold trim on it.

Its on pay with a Maybach level Mercedes, a step up from my S580 for sure. The only area in a full RR I find cheap is the speakers on top of the doors. No idea why they cheaped there, but all the metal is real metal...really well done. No haptic feedback in mine.

Apples and Oranges, Jill. I don't have that Copper Ice Metallic color pictured above....that was a new shade introduced for 2024, with the front-end and dash redesign. I have an older 2021 model, with the brownish Burnished Bronze Metallic color that was discontinued in 2022.

 

I would never choose either color, personally.

 

I like Burnished Bronze Metallic! But I wouldn’t choose the other color whatever it’s called. Lexus had a similar color called Autumn Shimmer.
