I remember when turbos were so laggy that you could count seconds for the boost.

Yep...as I stated previously, the Chrysler products of the early 1980s were classic examples.

I’m not an F1 driver lol

This generation Escalade has been excellent inside since it came out. The previous gen Escalade was a different story.
That's fair

The interior on this gen has been great for sure, the most fun thing about the Escalade IMO has always been the custom models. The crazy aftermarket lux packages, armored versions, off-road setups etc.....

As far as full size SUVs go it's always been the coolest one with crazy options. The Range Rover is still imo the segment king but it's just not as large as the Escalade so I personally view them as different segments

It was fine. Could be a little jerky in stop and go traffic, but easy enough to avoid with some pedal feathering

Range Rover is unibody, its about a foot shorter in the SWB model as the SWB Escalade, the LWB one is almost 2 feet shorter than the LWB Escalade

Price the Range Rover is more

RR EWB is about the size of a terrain/enclave or GX except it's a little longer. It's not dramatically wide or anything outlandish, it's also able to drop nearly as low a car or taller than a truck on demand so you have the best of all worlds and no need for running boards.

Interior is not like a us domestic truck where you can literally sit 3 people no issues side to side, it's two person like an S/7/A8 inside but very nice two person accommodations

Price is closer these days but the RR is still two tiers up in that aspect, it's a full on flagship and price reflects that.

I should have clarified I meant base price.

Yes obviously the true flagships can just totally walk away with pricing lol! It's absurd in many ways how much you pay for that extra 10%

You can get Range Rovers well over 300K with SV Bespoke and special packs like the Carmel edition. One in stock in Los Angeles (same dealer group as my dealer) has an MSRP of $370K.

It's relevant in the sense of why I used it.....to illustrate the huge improvement in turbo technology we have seen since then.
