Welcome to Club Lexus, I see you are a new member.

Just glad your car wasn't sinking to the bottom of a lake with someone trapped inside.

Be honest, you wanted to break the window, I know I would. Lol

Hey ya'll, I never read my owners manual either.
Over 300 page book, sitting on my closet shelf collecting dust, where it should be.

Everyone knows us guys never read the manual. Lol

it actually increases cost. Not decrease. Your going from a latch to both latch and actuator

Sorry, NOT owner error.

And the main point is the power can be gone anytime anywhere no matter if you put a bigger battery in or use a NOCO portable battery tender which just puts it off for a while.

I appreciate the video but my LEXUS of course is different from that. There is a mechanical mechanism under the arm rest that you have to pull real hard to open the door. Sitting in the car I could only feel it not see it.

Now for the reason for this thread is:

for prevention
1 - Has anyone got a 12 volt battery monitor that you can view on your phone.

In case 12 volt power is lost
2 - What power NOCO portable charger is needed to at least start the electronics from under the engine hood. 10 amps is not strong enough,

If you want real time 12v status you'll either need to buy a battery like an Ohmmu that has built-in connectivity, get a Bluetooth OBDII adapter and an app like Car Scanner (where you will be amazed at how much information is available to you) or one of the adapters that plugs into your 12v port in the cabin and lets you see current voltage.
