Breaking Down Lexus Global Sales From a Record-Setting 2023
By Brett Foote

It was a huge comeback for the luxury brand after years of disappointment.

Not really an accurate article. Low production from covid stunted sales for all brands. Then things picked up in 2023 with production. People bought everything on the lot, at all brands and dealers. Of course they are going to show an increase from previous shortages. Have to have been living under a rock to believe such information. Also, the TX pictured above had nothing to do with 2023.

They dropped the IS.
Slayed the GS.
Dropped all the RC's outside of the RCF.
Abandonned the CT.
Introduced this ouback country swine that is the UX.
Putted makeup on another swine and call it "the LBX".
The LS is not convincing anyone and will probably stay a disappointment.
And now they are doing great ?
I don't believe it. You can have statistics beeing oriented in asking the questions the right way.
Lexus is in decline.
They could do a lot with such a marvelous brand. They don't. Old japanese geezers drinking 500 yen sake in some dusty Roppongi izakaya will sink the brand. Like other old japanese geezers sunk Nissan.

At the same time, they are introducing some of their best products in some years, namely, the new TX and GX, and I have been seeing new RX and NX everywhere. The IS may not exist where you live, but here in the States it continues to sell well - even the somewhat unusual IS 500, which has only sold better in 2023 than its launch year of 2022. Of course, the NX continues to do well, too, which is reflected in the sales numbers. The areas where they get volume are all doing well relative to prior years (reflected in best-ever sales for the NX and RX Hybrid).

What were they selling prior to the pandemic (2018?) and how does it compare to 2023? Anyone that takes things for face value will think Toyota and Lexus will file for bankruptcy soon.
