New C55 AMG

Mercedes is set to debut their new C-Class in February of 2004. What's changed is a new front, rear skirt, LED tail lamps, narrower grill, clear see-through headlamps, and a slew of interior upgrades. What's also changed is the AMG model that is set to replace the currently produced supercharged C32 AMG. What you see below is Mercedes testing the C55 AMG, covered up with a buttload of tape of course.

The C55 AMG will feature a normally aspirated V8 that will produce around 367hp. Expect this to be one quick puppy. AMG styling will also be available for other C-Class models as well. Also, this will be the first time the AMG model of the C-Class will have styling that will truly set it apart from its more mildly mannered sibblings.

I'm not sure about the styling from what I see. The hood lines may be a little too aggressive, but the C55 AMG will be a screamer. Right now I'm a fan of the current C32, but the supercharger turns me off a little bit. A big NA V8 will be great and fit in better with the M3 and S4 IMO.
