Default The GTO?

Man, I can't BELIEVE the length of the first couple of replies here....and I thought I was long-winded !
I can't agree with the criticism of the GTO looking too much like the Australian Holden. Yes, it would look a little better with a hood scoop and Pontiac split-grille....but for those of you who remember the original car, remember that even ITS styling was nothing more than a standard Pontiac Tempest with twin hood scoops and Cragar Mag wheels. So you can't really knock the present car any more than you can the original.
And mechanically, it is a FAR better car than the original.

you 're the one that bumped it from a year ago

BTW- if this one w/350hp runs 13.6 than what will the new 400hp one do? 13.30s?
If I could only buy a 400hp six speed MT in a 2nd gen GS body, I'd wet my pants

People are picking up the 04's for like 25k, and that's without the GM discount! While the new ones are coming with a 50 extra horses, the 04s are going for smoking deals right now.

Thumbs up

For '05 the GTO gets some updates body work and the 6.0l 400hp 395lbs/ft tq c6 ls2 vette engine dropped. No significant price increase. I still think it's a deal. The interior is beautiful.

It's on the cover of Feb 05 Motor Trend

The freshened for 2005 Pontiac GTO (Pontiac.com)

- dual exhaust looks nice here

- this is pretty cool ... quad exhaust optional

This really has to be the best performance/touring value on the market today.

Its styling reminds me a 2-door Grand Prix instead of "GTO". There are just too many new 2-door coupe that is around $33K.
