Default Safe Number Of Thread Rotations for Lug Nuts

I'm looking to put spacers (only 5mm) on my vehicle, and I wanted to get some input on what some of you have heard from other mechanics or professionals as to what is a safe number of thread rotations to secure a wheel. I've hear 3 is ok and others say no less than 7. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The best description I've read is that the lugs should be threaded on to a depth at least equal to the diameter of the stud. So if your studs are 10mm across, the lug needs to snug down over 10mm of thread.

In most cases I don't believe 5mm spacers require longer studs.

Ok - after some additional research, I've noticed that it should be AT LEAST 7 rotations. Thanks for your input guys!
