Got a tank
the E-class is always a win in my book! and you know they say geniuses pick green...
i agree the W212 is the last time the E-class looked really nice... classy and elegant yet tapered and sporty
now that he's mr. AMG wheels and everything just make sure he looks out for potholes! that's really the only time anything "goes wrong" on my dad's 2015 E63
my first car was my 1999 LS so like me, he's now set up to be easily unimpressed with "normal" cars lol

The E-Class of this time, if it didn't have the lighting package, it got the 4 fog lights at the lower air intakes and I think halogen front turn signals:
The E-Class with the lighting package replaced the 4 fog lights at the bottom with the zig-zag-y LED strips (and I think this also got you front LED turn signals as well)

Congrats @Hameed . Funny thing is my companies IT Manager just recently had his E350 totalled in an accident. It had reached over 100K and the only issue he had was with his power seats. He tried to get the insurance company to repair it, but the damage was more than the car was worth
anyway, hameed's son got a fantastic car for a fantastic price, guided by the love of his awesome father. win, win, win.

that right there is a reason i would hate buying a new german car. too many options/configurations. choice is nice but it can be overwhelming, plus 'opportunities' for the dealer to spin more markup.

Buying German isn't that bad....just take the 3 part course on options and colors and then order it lol!

Congrats! This is my favorite generation of E class. Very stately and elegant but also sporty and tank-like Which means it’s one of my favorite cars ever. Way better than the melted jellybean W213. Love the wheels and the green color too!
I almost considered one of these when I was looking for a 3GS. But the Lexus won because that’s what I truly wanted. One of the things I like about my GS vs the E is it has so many features that were rare options on the W212 like HIDs with AFS, Wood steering wheel, Keyless access. Ventilated seats were only available on E550, that was a dealbreaker for me.
The trunk springing up feature has always been a Mercedes thing at least since the late 90s. We’ve had a few in the family. Also some Buicks and Cadillacs did that. On my GS the trunk only opens about 1cm, and I had to “manually” open it! Lol
Very nice first car for a kid!

Also, welcome to the geezer MB club, haha. There are several of us with old ones.

I definitely still do.
Ok, I have to confess, I'm breaking down and can't not upgrade the low beam halogens to a good quality HID kit.
I've searched the MB forum and one of the kits mentioned is the Morimoto one.
Anyone on here with some experience regarding this?
