I saw this one yesterday on classified ad, leads to the lexus dealer site..

Yes. It costs the dealer money to certify a car, so they choose not to certify cars that could be certified all the time.

Unless you're looking at something rare or esoteric, you may as well move on and keep looking any time there's something that needs to be explained (the tires and the CPO in this case), something that doesn't add up (the finance rates in this case) or a dealer that generally can't be bothered. There's no shortage of cars without a "story", so don't waste time explaining away the ones that do. With that said, as noted above everything is negotiable so if they will certify it or otherwise address your concerns and the deal works in all aspects (price, finance) then maybe it's worth persevering.

Thank you for reading this. I do not have experience in buying CPO.
if there is too much BS I will wait for the next one. I will check for flood damage also.
