So long CX-9, Hello MDX!!
Congrats on purchases. You will enjoy the vehicles. For at least 20 years I owned/leased five MDX Touring or Advance models (01, 05, 11, 17, 20). Always thought they were the best all around value in three row SUVs. Historically Acura offered large manufacturer to dealer incentives as well as dealers discounts. Believed the MDX to be a premium vehicle, although they are moving to more luxury features (they didn't use real wood for interior trim until 2017, and then just enough to say they had it). Didn't get CarPlay until 2018. Even added massage seats in the new generation, and the removable middle second row seat is a real plus.
With production increasing many dealers are now discounting them, although there are no mfg lease incentives yet. With over 12k equity in my 2020 MDX lease, in November I upgraded to a CPO 2020 GLS 450 for about midway between a new Advance and Type S Advance. Can't say I miss the MDX, but they were solid vehicles that never gave me any trouble. I believe in the five vehicles, the only issues I had were an air conditioning issue from the factory on my 17, and a side mirror motor replaced under warranty on one of them, can't remember which.

Very interesting that you didn't stay with the CX-90. I also wasn't impressed with the ride quality of the brief stint in the CX-90 PHEV.
Congrats on the MDX! If Acura ever ditches the trueTouch pad I think I could get my wife to consider one.

The MDX has always been a nice car. Imo

Congrats! Nice upgrade. I always have a feeling for Acura. We were checking out the MDX back in early 2000 then decided to take the bite on the RX because the rear view through passenger window wasn't great. How is it now? I think their front lamps and audio are nice.
We wanted to but the whole thing with the captain's chairs and the weird console between the two chairs on the higher trims didn't really help. I'm also still not sold on the rear end.
So far no complaints other than the learning curve with the touchpad.
