I actually took it to a car wash! At home I just use the waterless car wash (Chemical Brothers) between washes
Wow so you can't wash at home either? I thought it's just at ridiculous place like sf only. If you love your black paint, you might want to add a coating to help prevent scratches from those grinders and waterless wash. I saw a commercial on Cerakote and wonder if it's as good as advertised.

No, I can wash my car at home, I'm just lazy LOL . We have this carwash chain here called Loop, it's about $15 for an exterior wash, and I earn points which are used to discount it further. Every 5th wash is free

It's very safe. Uses soft brushes, no railing to damage your wheels. All flat ground. You drive in and stop when the red light goes on and the wash starts. I've used it for my IS350 and Polestar numerous times
I like the look of that - can you please post the Amazon link or at least the name of the brand here?
Haha Bit beat me! Just got them in last night, I'll let you know if they are worth it. I'm always suspicious when Tesla and WeatherTech sell theirs for nearly $200
LOL, thank you for posting the link. I'll wait to hear how you like it first but I definitely like the look of it.
I opened the box last night, and so far they look (and feel) really good. They are extremely lightweight materials, but seem very durable. They have a velcro type backing that will stick to the Model Y's carpeting. Also, no rubber smell! I'll install them in the Y this weekend!
Thanks! It's funny but I've been getting more love for the Y on CL then on the Polestar forum, where it's suddenly turned cold and the hate keeps pouring in. I've pretty much stopped posting there, which is sad because I own a Polestar, and these are supposed to be EV owners and enthusiasts. Oh well...
