Default GM Self-Driving System Involved in Bus Crash

Tesla is not the only manufacturer that still has work to do to perfect self-driving systems. GM is recalling some self-driving vehicles to do a software-update after one of them was involved in a rear-end impact with a bus. Turns out it was an articulated bus, which is hinged at the middle, so that the front and rear ends sometimes move in different directions...which confuses the self-driving computer on a vehicle following behind.

I didn't know GM had such a system. Is there video? I'm used to Tesla which records everything from multiple cameras.

I couldn't find any videos of this specific incident, but NHTSA does have an investigation into the GM Cruise-system stemming from a few months ago.

Correct. Currently, as I understand it, it is only on GM unmanned/robot self-driving vehicles.

The production Cadillac and Chevy Bolt self-driving feature has actually had a pretty good safety record, one of the best in the industry, although it does not claim to be 100% self-driving, and notes that occasional driver-interaction is sometimes needed.

What is the accident rate per miles driven? How many miles have been driven using their FSD?
