Not sure where to post this, so here it is. I have made an offer on a 2023 RX350 ($70+K) based on an initial interpretation of a Lexus military discount (spun as veterans discount at the dealership). Now that the loan app has been approved, the dealership is back-peddling on the discount saying it is up to Lexus and they may only accommodate active duty military. Wait a minute!!! So the dealership is telling me, a severely disabled veteran (which I am) injured in the line of duty for life (which I was) to protect this country, may not be included in the military discount??? Yes, I'm mad because that would be despicable...not to mention that it, out of principle, will cost Lexus the sale of a $70+K vehicle by a guy who has given the brand absolute exclusivity since 1995 (my car, wife car, child's car multiple times).
I'm posting to see what other disabled veterans have experienced and whether the dealership is accurate with their interpretation. Look, I get it...Lexus can't extend a $1000 discount to everyone who served and was honorably discharged, but to exclude verified disable veterans would be unconscionable.
So close to the finish line, but I will bail on principle if it plays out the way the dealership says it might.

The fine print of the Lexus Military Reward Program states in part:
"$1,000 Military reward offered by Toyota Motor North America, Inc. and may be applied toward finance or lease contracts dated January 4, 2023 through April 4, 2023, on new Lexus vehicles through participating Lexus dealers and Lexus Financial Services. To qualify for the reward, at the time of purchase or lease you must (1) be in current active duty status in the U.S. military (Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, National Guard, Coast Guard and active Reserve) OR a U.S. military inactive reserve (i.e., Ready Reserve) that is part of the individual Ready Reserve, Selected Reserve and Inactive National Guard; OR a U.S. military retiree; OR a veteran of the U.S. military within two years of their discharge date; OR a household member of an eligible U.S. military personnel, including Gold Star family members; AND (2) provide verifiable proof of military status or active service."
I agree that perhaps contacting corporate may be the best way to go. If would seem to me that a disabled veteran would normally be included in their list. Maybe just an oversight that they can override temporarily until the updated version with that included can be sent out to dealers.
I would also get the name and position of everyone I talk to, and date/time, and find out who they will get approval from and followup with that person after a week has gone by. This is something that could be handled quickly if corporate wanted to, I should think.
I would also contact my Congressmen to see if they can move this along post haste.

It sounds like you would not be eligible unless you are a military retiree or were discharged less than two years ago.
That's how I read it as well. Same wording as the last version. For whatever reason they chose to only give it to current, retired, or recently left service military and their spouses as well as gold star families.
Here is the application I just got from my sales woman for the Military Reward Program. Our RX350 got built yesterday but it looks like I may not qualify either since I retired 11 years ago. Then again this doesn't seem to match the current program information on the web site since it says within one year not two. Plus the form is dated 2018. Thinking this form may not be accurate for the current program. She's double checking it. edit: She confirmed that the current info on Lexus web page is accurate and this is not.
